FacilitiesThe Center, located in the Atrium Building (J) on the Southern Polytechnic campus, undergoes continuous upgrades to maintain cutting-edge capabilities. The Center includes: » Learn about our stationary lab. Evaluation Room
The Evaluation Room is where test participants complete their tasks. This room contains a one-way mirror between it and the control room. Multiple cameras record the participant's computer use and the participant's comments, actions, and reactions. The room is set up to mimic a business environment, but can be configured to match any business or industry environment. Control Room
Here the usability team members observe, log, and record all the user's feedback and the actual product or prototype's screen display. The usability lab also contains a phone system from the evaluation room to the control room to simulate a help desk during testing. Executive Viewing Room
The Executive Viewing Room accommodates additional interested parties who wish to observe in a non-intrusive way any parts of the usability test. The observers can see the users on multiple screens while noting the usability team in action. This Executive Viewing Room also serves as a conference/meeting room for the team. |
